The China Top 100 Coffee Guide 2026 was recently released, featuring four coffee brands from Guiyang. Leading the local charge is Captain George Flavor Museum (Shanghai Taiyuan Road Branch), a Guiyang-originated brand that claimed the second spot nationwide. Other standout entries include DuiDe Coffee (Ayundoucang Branch) at seventh, FUDOU COFFEE at 69th, and GTS Coffee Roasters at 86th.

Launched by the Lujiazui Coffee Culture Industry Association, the guide is an authoritative and valuable professional reference for coffee lovers across China.

Despite not growing its own coffee beans, Guiyang boasts over 3,000 cafes, making it one of the most coffee-dense cities in China. It has nurtured multiple national and international barista champions, including Peng Jinyang and Hu Ying. This "champion effect" has sparked the rise of premium local brands like Captain George and DuiDe Coffee, drawing travelers to the city specifically for a cup of coffee.

Guiyang is currently promoting its "Cool Guiyang" urban brand, striving to become a premier destination for youth-driven consumption by fostering new lifestyle experiences and business models.

Through specialty coffee, the city is showcasing its unique charm and inviting coffee lovers from around the nation to come and experience it firsthand. This initiative continues to strengthen Guiyang's appeal to young consumers, boosting the integration of culture and tourism and urban consumption upgrades.
