Huanglong Cave Adventure Camp in Guankou village, Huaxi district, Guiyang, is drawing visitors with its signature subterranean crystal water.
To preserve the cave's pristine environment, no artificial lighting is installed; instead, visitors rely entirely on headlamps for their underground journey. The camp offers underground paddleboarding, subterranean river trekking, crevice traversing, cave hiking, and paddy field coffee, and is open to children over 110 centimeters tall.
Backed by a certified team of professional coaches, the camp has established dynamic heavy-rain inspection protocols and a standardized safety framework, with the eco-friendly philosophy of "leave-no-trace caving" woven into every tour.
Beyond thrill and recreation, the camp harnesses the educational value of its karst geology through a cave science study station, bringing traditional classrooms into a real subterranean landscape.
Capitalizing on Huaxi's unique karst topography, the camp has evolved from a niche outdoor spot into a mainstream destination since opening in July 2025, ranking near the top of Ctrip and Fliggy's Guiyang day-tour charts.
Through a partnership with Guankou village, the camp has developed indoor and outdoor consumption spaces that have created local jobs and increased the incomes of nearly 40 villagers. With the village collective earning fixed dividends through resource equity participation, local paddy fields, old houses, and village lanes have become profitable tourism assets.
