Guiyang welcomes Mid-Autumn Festival with diverse activities

Guiyang hosted over 180 cultural and tourism events during the Mid-Autumn Festival holiday from Sept 25 to 27, welcoming more than 340,000 overnight tourists and recording 822,000 visitors across 47 A-level tourist attractions.

According to a report released by Tongcheng Travel, Guiyang ranked among the top five domestic long-haul destinations for the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day holidays, highlighting the city's growing tourism appeal.

The Mid-Autumn special session at Wenchang Pavilion, the "Thousand Lantern Full Moon Night" at Zhucheng Square, and the children's song festival electrified the festive atmosphere and further polished its "Guiyang Roadside Concert" brand.

At night, the city glowed with popular photo spots, including the riverside light show at Jiaxiu Pavilion and the "super giant moon" installation in Huaxi district. A series of fitness events sparked widespread participation, including the China Pickleball Tour, the Baiyun Community Games, and the Guanshanhu Thousand-Person Family Run.

Destinations like Guiyu Hot Spring, Longjingwan Campsite, and Taoyuan River also offered citizens a wide array of suburban getaways. Coupled with promotional measures such as themed markets, home appliance subsidies, and consumer vouchers, these efforts stimulated the holiday market, achieving mutual gains in public cultural welfare and tourism consumption.
