Guiyang's first coffee and theatre festival kicks off

The inaugural Guiyang "Yichang Coffee and Theatre Festival," created by the 1958 Creative Park in Colorful Guizhou City, is underway from July 28 to Aug 2.

The park has set up multiple improvised performance areas for theatrical scenes, featuring dozens of coffee shop owners, over 10 exclusive NPCs, and more than 60 professional actors working together.

Seven stores have been designated as micro-theatres. Participants only need to say a secret passphrase when ordering to trigger an exclusive theatrical segment. The park has also set up a stamp-collection quest line. Collecting all the micro-theatre stamps can redeem a premium gift package, while collecting five NPC stickers can be traded for a limited-edition coffee.

The 1958 Creative Park features an NPC character named "Jiuqiansui," who patrols the streets at random times daily to quiz passersby on coffee knowledge. Those who answer correctly can draw coffee vouchers, theatre tickets, and other perks from his treasure chest.

Tourists wearing hanfu (traditional Chinese attire) or theatrical costumes can also receive vouchers for that day's theatrical performances. The event provides 300 cups of specialty coffee every day for interactive redemption.

Another highlight is the limited-edition seed ticket stub. Each stub contains real plant seeds. After the event, attendees can bury the stub in soil to see it sprout and grow. Additionally, showing any consumption ticket stub grants visitors same-day discounts at partner merchants inside the park.
