The "Art Within Reach" Fiber Art Lifestyle Exhibition kicked off on June 14 in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province. This marks China's first-ever multi-sensory, touch-friendly, and fully immersive large-scale fiber art exhibition.
The exhibition brings together over 40 top-tier fiber artists from across China, showcasing a diverse range of categories, including wool weaving, silk embroidery, fiber-optic installations, and ancient fiber crafting techniques. It will run until Sept 13, open daily from 10 am to 9 pm.
Centered around the concept of "Art Within Reach", the exhibition allows visitors to not only feel the physical warmth and texture of the fibers up close, but also participate in hands-on workshops for wet felting, needle punching, and weaving to create their own unique fiber masterpieces.
In tandem with the art on display, the exhibition has developed dozens of creative cultural items. Spanning home decor, stationery, apparel, and lifestyle goods, these items use everyday objects as a medium to bring fiber art into the daily lives of the public.
Throughout the exhibition period, a series of themed workshops, artist talks, and special nighttime events will be rolled out. People can visit the Guiyang International Fashion Release Center to experience an authentic connection between art and life.
