As spring warms the city, Guiyang is ushering in a spectacular season of blossoming flowers. Xiaoshuang – the beloved character inspired by the lively macaques of local Qianling Mountain – takes viewers on a delightful flower-viewing tour of Guiyang.

In Nanming district, nature and landscape design come together to create some of Guiyang's most immersive springtime experiences.

Azaleas at the Guiyang Botanical Garden of Medicinal Plants are currently in full bloom, transforming the urban garden into a seasonal attraction.

More than 10 varieties of azaleas, including maojuan, chunjuan, and jinxiudujuan, are in full bloom across an area of over 1,000 square meters.

The garden features low-growing shrubs that allow visitors to view the blossoms at eye level. The site is also bordered by green lawns, creating a contrasting landscape within the district.

Authorities said the peak flowering period will last for about one more week, urging visitors to take advantage of the seasonal display.
