During the Spring Festival holiday from Feb 15 to 23, Guiyang received 871,800 overnight tourists, including 2,680 overseas visitors.
The 10 most visited attractions were Qianlingshan Park, Huaxi Wetland Park, Qingyan Ancient Town, Huaguoyuan Tourism Area, Time Guizhou, Colorful Guizhou City, Jiaxiu Pavilion, Tianhetan Scenic Area, Hebin Park, and Yelang Valley.
During the holiday, the city organized over 300 culture and tourism activities, attracting an influx of residents and tourists and creating a joyful, shared atmosphere for visitors and locals alike.
A "Yangming couplets for every home" event was held alongside the Yangming Market and "Zhixing Gathering" at the Confucius Academy and Wenchang Pavilion, highlighting the importance of philosopher Wang Yangming's philosophy about controlling one's mind, a prime example of local cultural heritage.
All 10 districts and counties in Guiyang launched Spring Festival-related events. Yunyan and Nanming districts hosted roadside concerts, while the Guiyang Symphony Orchestra performed a concert to usher in the Chinese New Year.
Local libraries and cultural centers offered themed book fairs and intangible cultural heritage workshops. Specialized performances at landmarks like the Wenchang Pavilion, Jiaxiu Pavilion, and Caozhuangyuan Street revitalized the city's ancient pulse.
The "Village Gala" in Longjing village was featured as a national demonstration for rural Spring Festival celebrations. Other highlights included the "Tiaonianchang" (Chinese New Year dance) in Xiaogulong village and "Tiaohuajie" (Flower Dance Festival) in Gui'an New Area, showcasing authentic ethnic traditions.
