Guiyang city is rolling out a lineup of Spring Festival activities, with fireworks, lantern fairs, and immersive cultural events transforming major scenic spots into holiday hotspots.

The 2026 Guiyang · Baiyun Lantern Art Festival has opened at Penglai Fairyland Moly Town, captivating visitors with its spectacular large-scale light installations. Fireworks will light up the sky at 9:08 pm on the first, fifth, and fifteenth days of the Chinese New Year, each show lasting 12 minutes and 8 seconds.

Traditional highlights such as molten iron flower performances, bonfire parties, and "God of Wealth" blessing ceremonies add to the festive atmosphere, while interactive games give visitors the chance to win holiday gifts. A bustling food market rounds out the experience with a tempting array of local specialties and popular snacks.

At Tianhetan Tourist Resort, the "Lucky Horse · Full Gallop" celebration runs from the first to the seventh day of the holiday, offering daily themed events. Highlights include large-scale drum performances, firewood-carrying rituals symbolizing prosperity, dazzling fireworks, and a variety of cultural showcases.

Meanwhile, Huaxi Park has transformed into an open-air folk carnival through its "Galloping into the Chinese New Year" program. Visitors can explore horse-themed exhibitions, experience Bouyei and Miao traditions, marvel at molten iron fireworks over Huaxi Lake, and enjoy family-friendly shows, concerts, and ethnic dance competitions.
