Plum blossoms in many parks and scenic spots across Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, have begun to bloom in recent days, drawing numerous residents and visitors eager to enjoy the floral scenery.
At Guiyang Botanical Garden of Medical Plants, red plum trees are blooming despite the cold, their crimson flowers dotting the branches. Despite the low temperatures, many locals still make special trips to take photos and admire the views.
At the Confucius Academy's second-phase architectural complex, plum blossoms intermingle gracefully with pavilions and towers, forming a poetic landscape. The ancient-style buildings and elegant flowers enhance one another, creating a captivating scene.
Due to the diversity of plum species and the local climate, Guiyang's plum blossom season stretches from late January to late March, bridging the end of winter and the beginning of spring.
In addition to these two locations, blossoms are appearing across urban and suburban areas, including Ahahu National Wetland Park, Guanshanhu Park, Denggao Yunshan Forest Park, Nanjiao Park, Huaxi Shili Hetan Park, Shuanglong Ecological Park, and Xingyuehu Park. Red, pink, and yellow plum varieties each display their unique charm, inviting visitors to come and admire them.
