Light of Heart stage play to premiere in Guiyang

The stage play Light of Heart: The Legend of Wang Yangming will premiere on Dec 27 at the Guiyang Grand Theater, introducing the spiritual core of "Longchang Enlightenment", and offering the wisdom of "inward exploration" as a remedy for contemporary youth trapped in involution and anxiety.

The play follows the life of Wang Yangming, a philosopher from the Ming Dynasty (1268-1644). The most anticipated part is the four-minute scene of "Longchang Enlightenment". Through highly immersive stage language, the play recreates Wang Yangming's inner struggles, mirroring the real-life plight of modern young people in spiritual dilemmas.

As the birthplace of Longchang Enlightenment, Guiyang is writing a new chapter in the integration of culture and tourism through "Yangming culture + performance", with the play's release expected to position the city as a healing destination for young people seeking inner peace.
