The 2025 "Cool Guiyang" Summer Resort New Experience Scene Release event took place on July 5 at Zhucheng Square in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, offering a grand cultural and tourism feast for thousands of citizens and tourists.
Five themed exhibition areas, featuring food, accommodation, video and photography, coffee and alcohol, and culture and tourism, were bustling with people. Amid melodious songs performed by folk bands, visitors either held coffee in their hands or gathered in groups to enjoy beer, immersing themselves in the charm of Guiyang's summer night.
The intangible cultural heritage (ICH) display area became a major attraction. Miao embroidery from Huaxi district and exquisite woodwork from the Hu Yidiao ICH Exhibition Hall, as well as wood carvings, attracted significant attention.
The event's core segment was a large-scale situational show titled Encounter Guiyang, alongside a rendition of the classic song Jasmine performed by Yi ethnic singer Kong Xiangsha, the Guiyang No 6 Middle School student band, and student actors from New Zealand, which pushed the atmosphere to a climax.
Cool Guiyang, with its 23 C weather and special Six-Cool experiences, declared itself ready as the perfect summer destination.
