Guiyang Gifts unveils Guizhou 'phoenix crown' at intl cultural fair

Among the highlights of the 21st China (Shenzhen) International Cultural Industries Fair (ICIF), which was held from May 22 to 26 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition & Convention Center, was the debut of the Guizhou "phoenix crown", presented by the Guiyang Gifts.

Inspired by the nationally treasured five-phoenix gold crown inlaid with gemstones– a grade one cultural relic unearthed in Guizhou – the piece was handcrafted using traditional filigree inlay techniques. Featuring 348 gemstones and 115 pearls, the crown blends exquisite craftsmanship with rich ethnic culture.

Guiyang Gifts also collaborated with Wang Qiping, a national-level inheritor of Huaxi Miao embroidery, who co-guided the design of the crown, incorporating traditional patterns to honor ethnic heritage and showcase Guizhou's vibrant spirit.

Also debuting were gold-foil paintings, prints, fridge magnets, and key chains inspired by the crown.

Guiyang-themed cultural products, such as Jiaxiu Pavilion plush charms and over 100 other locally styled creations, were also on display. With playful designs and practical appeal, these items reflect the charm and energy of "Cool Guiyang".

The phoenix crown's debut not only highlights Guizhou's innovative approach to preserving intangible heritage, but also strengthens its cultural brand, fueling the high-quality growth of the province's culture and tourism sectors.
