The "Cool Guiyang" Culture, Tourism, Economic, Trade, and Real Estate Promotion Conference was held on June 17 in Tokyo, Japan.
Hu Lin, director of the Guiyang bureau of culture and tourism, showcased the city's unique resources and cultural appeal to Japanese guests, who showed keen interest in Guizhou cuisine, Guiyang's famous monkey "Xiaolaofei", championship-winning coffee, and craft breweries.
Kawata Daisuke, editor-in-chief of China Kiko CKRM magazine, noted: "While Japan excels in anime and games, Guizhou's authentic charm surpasses them. Our shared cultural traits, combined with modern promotions, can inspire more Japanese tourists to explore Guizhou."
With the new Guiyang-Osaka direct flight, a cultural bridge now links the two regions. To strengthen ties, Guizhou Guilyu International Travel Service Co signed tourist-exchange agreements with Japanese agencies, inviting more visitors to experience Guiyang's landscapes.
The promotion event also highlighted Guiyang's real estate, encouraging a "migratory-style living" approach, where one can purchase a summer property and enjoy amenities such as hot spring therapy and mountain sports. Japanese entrepreneurs can also engage in investment cooperation through cross-border equity investment pilot projects.
