During the Qingming Festival holiday from April 4 to 6, Guiyang City and Gui'an New Area in Southwest China's Guizhou province received 691,500 visits across 46 tourist attractions. The top 10 most visited sites included Qianlingshan Park, Huaxi Wetland Park, Qingyan Ancient Town, Hebin Park, Time Guizhou, and Tianhetan Scenic Area.
Various cultural and tourism activities were also organized, covering scenic areas, commercial districts, cultural experiences, and rural leisure.
On April 5, Guiyang's Yuejie Cinema became the first cinema in China to surpass 20 million yuan ($2.73 million) in annual box office revenue. Its holiday promotions also included visitors with a Ne Zha 2 movie ticket stub enjoying free or half-price admission to Tianhetan Scenic Area, Yelang Valley, Yunding Mushu Park, Yangming Cultural Park, and Duofangge Hot Spring.
The Guiyang Confucius Academy hosted the "Heartfelt Qingming: Cherishing Family and Homeland" cultural event, blending Tunpu heritage, intangible cultural crafts, philosophy, and patriotic themes through three interactive activities.
Rural tourism boomed early , with visitors flocking to rapeseed fields in Haoguan village, cherry blossoms in You'er village, and peach blossoms in Yongle township.
Qingyun Road Pedestrian Street and Caozhuangyuan Street energized crowds with singing competitions, shopping festivals, and food festivals to stimulate consumption.
