Guiyang, capital of Guizhou province, became a bustling hub of activities and celebrations during the 2025 Spring Festival holiday. Malls, supermarkets, and street markets were filled with eager shoppers, while the city's key attractions saw an unprecedented influx of visitors.
Guiyang's 44 major A-level tourist attractions received 2.13 million visits, with Yunyan district alone attracting 1.13 million visits, an increase of 11.2 percent compared to the previous year.
The district's tourism revenue soared to approximately 1.11 billion yuan ($152.32 million), an increase of 11.3 percent year over year. Qianlingshan Park in the district received 441,423 visits, making it the most visited site in the city.
Nanming district also experienced a significant tourism boom, welcoming around 1.12 million visitors and generating a total tourism income of 1.15 billion yuan, a remarkable 14 percent increase from the previous year.
The tourism sector in Wudang district also flourished, with 379,900 visits, reflecting a 13.78 percent growth. The district's tourism revenue reached 186 million yuan, a 19.64 percent increase.
Guanshanhu district, known for its shopping complexes, saw 2.13 million visits, a 14.94 percent increase from the previous year. The district's sales revenue reached an impressive 203.82 million yuan, a 12.47 percent growth.
The holiday brought 350,500 visits to Xifeng county, resulting in an income of over 203 million yuan. These figures represented year-on-year increases of 15.12 percent and 14.88 percent, respectively.
