The "London Meets Guiyang" roadside concert was recently staged at Zhucheng Square in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province.

British singer Henry Moodie kicked off the event with his first-ever performance in China, captivating the audience with several songs filled with British charm.

In addition to Henry Moodie's splendid performance, Anthony Preston, the British Consul General in Chongqing, took to the stage to sing "The Moon Represents My Heart".

This was not the first international-themed event at Zhucheng Square. On Sep 5, a German jazz-rock concert was held in collaboration with the German Consulate in Chengdu.

On Nov 3, a performance was held for the European mayors' delegation and broadcast to over 150 countries and regions worldwide. Milinko Jelovac, chairman of the Belgrade Cultural Center in Serbia, expressed his appreciation for the local ethnic customs and said he came to Guiyang specifically for the roadside concert.

The British roadside concert at Zhucheng Square was a music exchange event jointly planned with the British Consulate General in Chongqing, the Guiyang foreign affairs office, and the Guiyang culture and tourism bureau.

Organizers hope that planning more of these events will bring diverse and international music experiences to Guiyang while fostering cultural exchanges and integration between China and the world.
