The Guizhou Culture and Tourism Industry Investment Promotion Conference, as part of the 17th Guizhou Tourism Industry Development Conference, was held in Huaxi district in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on April 7.
This event saw the signing of five strategic cooperation agreements and 15 representative and leading investment agreement projects.
The total investment for the 15 investment agreement projects amounted to 8.74 billion yuan ($1.27 billion), with Guiyang signing five projects with an investment of 4.02 billion yuan, accounting for 46 percent of the province's total.
During the conference, various cities and prefectures promoted their tourism and cultural investment projects, inviting enterprises to come to Guizhou to tour the project sites and enter into business negotiations.
This conference focused on industrial investment, aiming to strengthen, expand and supplement the tourism industry chain. A total of 87 cultural and tourism investment projects were selected to be promoted at the conference. These projects include tourist attractions, cultural and tourism complexes, cultural experience, hotels, and homestays, all of which have a total investment of about 57.31 billion yuan and a planned introduced investment of about 41.96 billion yuan.
