The sky wheel at Hebin Park in Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – reopened to the public on Sept 1 after many months of upgrades.

It has 30 cabins and each cabin is equipped with an air conditioner and is suitable for six visitors to enjoy the stunning views of Guiyang.

Compared with the old sky wheel, the new one is much taller and each rotation takes about eight minutes. The cabins are also equipped with intercom systems in case of emergency.

The park also renovated the surrounding areas of the sky wheel, including a 20 square-meter tourist service center, rest area and toilets, as well as 1,700 sq m of road and lawn with trees covering 4,500 sq m.

The sky wheel is open every day until 9:30 pm if it's not raining. With its lights, visitors can take in panoramic views at night.
