An exchange event among the cultural centers in Guiyang and Gui'an - both in Southwest China's Guizhou province - was held in Guiyang's Nanming district on June 28.

The activity was sponsored by the Guiyang Mass Art Museum and the Nanming District Cultural Center.

That day, a series of activities combining traditional Chinese culture with modern art was held.

Among the activities highlighted was a sencha show put on by women wearing costumes from the Tang Dynasty (618-907).

The performers imitated the Tang Dynasty's sencha techniques and served tea to each guest in accordance with proper court etiquette of the time.

At a music activity, music was performed both with Chinese traditional musical instruments and Western musical instruments.

Moreover, the Mawei embroidery technique show showcased many pieces of clothing that combined traditional embroidery skills with modern fashion trends.
