Guiyang city, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has launched a digital museum in celebration of International Museum Day, according to local media reports.
May 18 marked this year's International Museum Day, themed around the power of museums.
The terminal display system for the Guiyang Digital Museum has a high-definition touch screen and displays more than 24,000 cultural relics, allowing users to virtually enter the museum by clicking on its screens.
The visualization terminal of the Guiyang Digital Museum is divided into five sections: Wonderful Specials, Cultural Landmarks, 3D Cultural Relics, Characteristic Intangible Cultural Heritage and Images of Guiyang.

The 360° panorama provides the audience with an immersive experience of visiting cultural relics and landmarks and provides the audience with clear information on the distribution, age, address and other information of cultural relics protection units in the form of pictures.
At present, 15 visualization terminals at the Guiyang Digital Museum have been launched, which are located in the Jiaxiu Building, Wenchang Pavilion, the former site of the Dade School and other places in Guiyang city.
In addition to the terminals, a mobile display terminal for the Guiyang Digital Museum has been launched on the WeChat public account "Shuangyou Guiyang" and "Smart Tour Guiyang".
