The 2022 Guizhou tourism commodity competition was held at the Guizhou Provincial Museum in Guiyang – capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province – on April 22.
Some 960 tourism commodities made them to the competition's preliminary round – 798 of them in the areas of culture, technology, fashion, specialties, traditional handcrafts and healthy life styles.
A total of 45 commodities competed in the finals, with 15 taking home gold awards, 15 winning silver and 15 getting bronze awards.
The Guiyang Bureau of Culture and Tourism, the Qiannan Culture, Radio and Tourism Bureau and the Qiandongnan Culture, Sports, Radio and Tourism Bureau won the best organizer prizes.
All the winning commodities will be sold in Guizhou's scenic spots and online and additionally will be recommended to enter national tourism commodity competitions.
The competition is expected to identify more tourism commodities with Guizhou features, increase the popularity of tourism commodities, improve the creative design level of these products and accelerate the commercialization of tourism.
