The song and dance drama Yunshang Titian created in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, recently won third place at the eighth Guizhou Literature and Art Awards.
The drama tells the story of Long Guoliang, a college graduate from Guizhou's Bouyei ethnic group, who returns to his hometown to work with the village's first Party secretary and help locals increase their incomes by developing big data there.
Previously, it has won a special award, a best director award and a best performance award at the seventh Guizhou Ethnic Literature and Art Performance, as well as an excellent play award at the sixth National Ethnic Literature and Art Performance.
The Guizhou Literature and Art Award has 14 categories of awards: literary theory, folk literature and art, music, drama, film, television, radio, acrobatics, opera, dance, art, calligraphy, photography and the folk crafts.
Each category has one first-place award, two second-place awards and three third-place awards, which are awarded by the Guizhou provincial government and which represent the highest accomplishment in their field in the province.
