During the 2022 New Year holiday, Guizhou's provincial capital Guiyang saw growth in its tourist flow in the main scenic spots.
Guiyang's Quanhu Park received 36,000 visitors, Qingyan Ancient Town received 25,000 visitors, Baoli International Hot Spring received 9,000 visitors, Zhenhua Wanxiang Hot Spring received 9,000 visitors, Kaiyang Shili Hualang Scenic Spot received 8,000 visitors, and Tianhetan Scenic Spot received 7,000 visitors.
Guiyang's nine hotels had more than 50 percent occupancy rate.
Guiyang's scenic spots also organized various cultural activities and provided shopping discounts. In Huaxi district, 20 Miao embroiderers and 30 teenagers stitched a 10-meter-long Miao embroidery to cheer for the upcoming 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics.
In Wudang, various hot springs, restaurants, cinemas, and museums offered discounted tickets. In Qingzhen, visitors got to make glutinous rice cakes, write spring festival scrolls, and make sugar paintings.
During the holiday, Guiyang Bureau of Culture and Tourism sent inspection teams to monitor the pandemic prevention and control protocols in various scenic spots.
Guiyang's scenic spots, hotels, restaurants, and entertainment venues all went under smooth and stable operation. The bureau received no accident reports and Guiyang's cultural market comprehensive administrative law enforcement detachment handled one tourism complaint.
