Guiyang's culture sector enjoys strong Q1-3

Since the COVID-19 pandemic came under control, Guizhou's provincial capital Guiyang has witnessed the recovery of its tourism sector.

During the first three quarters of this year, Guiyang's 131 culture-related companies above a designated size achieved total business revenues of 13.84 billion yuan ($2.17 billion), an increase of 7.6 percent year-on-year.

In that period, Guiyang's cultural service industry achieved 7.78 billion yuan in business revenues, representing an increase of 7.6 percent year-on-year. The business revenues of the cultural wholesale and retail industry achieved 2.18 billion yuan in revenues, an increase of 11.7 percent year-on-year.

Among Guiyang's nine culture-related industries, cultural leisure and entertainment, creative design and news information were the top three most rapidly growing industries during the first three quarters of this year.

Guiyang's Yunyan, Nanming and Huaxi districts contributed the most to the city's cultural business revenues during the first three quarters of this year, which were 3.58 billion yuan, 3.27 billion yuan and 3.09 billion yuan, respectively.
