A flower-and-bird painting exhibition opened to art enthusiasts at Fanmo Art Museum in Yunyan district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on Dec 1. The exhibition is free to visit and will last until January 2022.

On display are around 60 flower-and-bird paintings by two famous Guizhou painters, Wu Daming and Yang Guangxue.

Walking into the art museum, a pair of masterpieces showing spring scenes come into view, with bright charming flowers, fresh vigorous trees, and lively birds.

"Flower-and-bird paintings are traditional Chinese paintings and are the quintessence of the country. I feel the breath of spring and the vitality of life through the painter's vivid brushstrokes, as well as the beauty of the mountains and rivers of the country," a visitor said.
