A summer trip to Guizhou for reporters from around the country was launched in Qingyan Ancient Town in Huaxi district, Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, on July 13.
The event is aimed at exploring the new highlights and methods of summer tourism routes in Guizhou and spurring the recovery of summer tourism in Guizhou.
At the launch ceremony, Li Fang, a Party leader and deputy director of the Guizhou Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, said that Guizhou is currently promoting the industrialization of tourism and the high-quality development of the tourism industry.
The province is striving to create a world-class mountain tourism destination and a domestic first-class holiday resort, Li added.
Over the next six days, the reporters will be divided into two groups and will visit Guiyang, Anshun, Bijie, Zunyi, and Tongren, along the Red Army's Long March route and classic summer routes.
