Xinbao Bouyei township in Wudang district of Guiyang, the capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has promoted the integration of culture and tourism to increase locals' incomes and accelerated rural revitalization through tourism industrialization, according to local media reports.

The township enhanced the construction of tourism-supporting facilities to attract tourists. It guided farmers to renovate their homes, with 43 farm houses and homestays upgraded.

Xinbao Bouyei township also renovated eight public toilets for tourists.

After nearly two years of upgrading, more tourists are now coming to visit the township and experience the local culture.

The township also broadened its roads from 3 meters to 6 m wide, easing traffic pressure and providing increased transportation convenience to tourists.

In addition, the township launched four-season tourism routes that allow tourists to enjoy maple leaves in spring, escape the summer heat, pick fruit in autumn, and enjoy hot springs during the winter.

Integrating local ethnic culture and tourism, the township is increasing locals' incomes.

In 2020, Xinbao Bouyei township received more than 2.8 million visits and witnessed a 17 percent increase in locals' annual incomes.
