It is responsible for drafting the plans, policies and industry standards for the development of online audiovisual programs, and supervising implementation after approval guiding the development and publicity of online audiovisual programs; examining the launching and revocation of online audiovisual programs (including IP TV, online radio and television, mobile audiovisual programs), supervising broadcast contents; supervising satellite television reception facilities and reception of overseas satellite TV programs; and coordinating the investigation and handling of illegal activities related to online audiovisual programs.
