It is responsible for drafting policies, plans, and industry standards for technology innovation and development of culture, tourism, and radio and television, and organizing implementation after approval; promoting the application of information technology on culture and tourism; carrying out work related to cultural and tourism public services using big data; promoting technological innovation, government data management, data sharing, intranet construction, and network security; promoting the informatization of tourist attractions, cultural relics and museums, and the transformation of scientific and technological achievements in cultural relics protection; guiding the development of digital culture and the protection of ancient books; integrating new media, new technologies, and new formats with the radio and television industry; supervising and supporting radio and television broadcasts, promoting the development of the rural radio and television industry; supervising the quality of radio and television technology, and guiding the measurement and testing of radio and television technology and the application of technological achievements; and guiding, promoting and supervising the standardization and equalization of public broadcasting and television services.
