Rural tourism spikes in Xiuwen county during holiday

Xiuwen county in Guiyang, the capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, received 329,600 visits and generated tourism revenue of 177 million yuan ($27.05 million) during the Tomb Sweeping Day holiday from April 3 to 5 -- year-on-year increases of 39.56 percent and 8.88 percent, respectively.

During the holiday, Xiuwen's culture and tourism bureau carried out daily inspections on various tourist attractions, hotels, internet bars and KTVs.

Through the efforts of multiple parties, Xiuwen county's cultural tourism industry operated smoothly and orderly during the break.

There were no travel complaints, stability maintenance incidents or production safety issues in the county during the holiday.
